Overview

GHRP-6 (Growth Hormone-Releasing Peptide-6) is a synthetic hexapeptide — sequence His-D-Trp-Ala-Trp-D-Phe-Lys-NH2 — and one of the earliest growth-hormone secretagogues developed, a first-generation ghrelin-receptor (GHS-R1a) agonist studied in human physiology research in the 1990s via IV and subcutaneous routes. It releases GH and strongly activates the full ghrelin pathway: intense appetite stimulation ("eat like a house," per coach Dylan Bailey's July 2026 reel), plus dose-dependent increases in cortisol and prolactin — the non-selective profile that later led the community to ipamorelin.
